Dr. Schneider believes all successful physicians should return to an educational institution to teach the next generation of younger surgeons in training. Dr. Schneider committed to one year as an Assistant Professor in Utah as Director of the Neuro-Spine Degenerative Section of the Department of Neurosurgery at the University, completing this time and then returning to the Northern Rockies region in the summer of 2004, developing the Northern Rockies Neuro-Spine Center. Dr. Schneider was the first to establish the standards for minimally invasive spinal surgeries in this region. Dr. Schneider strongly supports every patient's desire to remain close to their family and community support groups during their care and has worked with hospital and surgery center administration receptive to Spine Specialty facilities, unencumbered by the politics of middle sized institutions who remain understaffed and over burdened.
